Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Social mobile application (the "App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Social, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must be at least 18 years old to message users who are not on your friends list
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

3. Account Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Not share your account with others

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 You May Not:

• Post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Spam, advertise, or solicit users
• Post content containing profanity or hate speech
• Harass, stalk, or harm other users
• Violate any local, state, national, or international law
• Interfere with the operation of the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other users' accounts
• Use the App for commercial purposes without our permission
• Collect or store personal information about other users without consent

4.2 Content Guidelines:

• Forum posts must be relevant to the venue
• Private messages must be respectful
• Profile information must be accurate
• You may not post sexual, violent, or graphic content

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App.

5.2 Content Moderation

• We employ automated profanity filtering
• Forum posts are automatically deleted after 24 hours
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms
• Users can report inappropriate content
• We review reports and may take action including content removal or account suspension

5.3 Content You See

We are not responsible for content posted by other users. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content.

6. Location Services

• The App uses your location for venue check-ins
• Your location is visible to friends when you are checked in
• You can disable location services in your device settings
• Some features require location access to function

7. Privacy and Data

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and share your information.

8. Blocking and Reporting

• You may block users to prevent interaction
• You may report content or users that violate these Terms
• False reports may result in action against your account
• Blocked users cannot add you as a friend or find you in search

9. Account Termination

9.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting us at team.getsocial@outlook.com.

9.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in abusive or harmful behavior
• Receive multiple user reports
• Use the App in a way that harms other users or the service

We may terminate accounts without prior notice for serious violations.

10. Intellectual Property

• The App, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by us
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the App
• Our trademarks and logos may not be used without permission

11. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Defects will be corrected
• The App is free of viruses or harmful components
• Information provided through the App is accurate or reliable

11.1 Venue Information and Specials

Regarding venue information, specials, prices, and promotions displayed in the App:

• Venue information, specials, pricing, and availability are provided by third parties or user submissions
• We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do NOT guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any venue information, specials, prices, or promotions
• Specials, prices, and availability are subject to change without notice by the venue
• We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any venues listed in the App
• Users should verify all information, including specials and prices, directly with the venue before visiting
• We are not responsible for any discrepancies, outdated information, or changes made by venues

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us (if any)
• We are not responsible for interactions between users
• We are not liable for any issues, disputes, injuries, or damages arising from your visit to or interaction with any venue
• You use the App at your own risk

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Content you post
• Your interactions with venues or other users

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.

19. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including Google Firebase and Google Maps. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

20. Venue Listings and Information

The App displays information about third-party venues including bars, restaurants, and entertainment establishments ("Venues"). You acknowledge and agree that:

• We are not affiliated with, do not operate, and have no control over any Venues listed in the App
• Venue information, including specials, hours, prices, and availability, is provided for informational purposes only
• Venue information may be outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete
• You are responsible for verifying all information with the Venue directly
• We are not liable for any issues, disputes, injuries, or damages arising from your visit to or interaction with any Venue
• The inclusion of a Venue in the App does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation
• Venues may be added or removed at our discretion without notice
